Problem Gambling Treatment

Yamhill County provides a full-service outpatient gambling treatment program with State-Certified Gambling Treatment Counselors. We provide a full clinical assessment and collaboratively develop an individualized treatment plan identifying goals that the client chooses to work toward.

We offer both group and individual treatment services in a safe and confidential environment. The Problem Gambling Program is unique in that we offer treatment and support for family members and others affected by gambling, even if the problem gambler is not involved in treatment. We offer co-occurring disorder treatment as well as community outreach and after-care problem gambling services.

There is no out-of-pocket cost to clients or their families as treatment is funded by the Oregon Health Authority. We work very closely with Oregon’s only residential gambling treatment inpatient program located in Salem. We can easily facilitate a referral to the inpatient program if a higher level of care is needed.

Oregon Problem Gambling Resource Helpline

We work closely with Oregon Problem Gambling Resource (OPGR), a 24-hour gambling crisis Helpline and resource website, where you can call, text, or live chat with a counselor. The OPGR website also provides many problem gambling prevention resources and information on how to help you or someone you know.

Gamblers Anonymous

The City of McMinnville is home to a weekly Gamblers Anonymous meeting:

This is an open meeting, meaning spouses, family, and friends of the gambler are welcome to attend and observe the meeting.
