Public Health Clinic

Clinic Services

As of May 1, 2025, Yamhill County Public Health no longer offers reproductive health services.

We will still provide vaccines and testing/treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) like chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis, as well as HIV and hepatitis C testing. These services will be available by appointment only. Call 503-434-7525 to schedule an appointment or ask questions.

Why did this change happen?

Over the last 5+ years, fewer people have been using our reproductive health services. This is mostly due to positive changes in the community, such as:

  • More clinics and providers now offer full sexual and reproductive health services.
  • Oregon Health Plan (OHP) now covers more people than ever before.
  • In 2016, a new law allowed some birth control pills to be sold over the counter, without a prescription.
  • Long-lasting birth control (like IUDs, Nexplanon, and Depo shots) and new screening guidelines mean people don’t need to visit the clinic as often.

Yamhill County is not alone - other counties in Oregon are making similar changes for the same reasons.

We know some of you have been with us for a long time, and others may have only visited once. Either way, we’re still here to help you find the care you need.

If you need help finding other clinics or transferring your medical records, please call us at 503-434-7525.
