Political Signs

Political signs are an important part of election campaigns, but laws regarding when and where they can be placed can differ within the cities, county and state. The size and placement of political signs does not fall under election law.  Before you begin to put up political signs be sure to contact the appropriate city, county or state office for individual rules and sign regulations.

Oregon law does not allow any campaigning within 100 feet of any polling place during an election.  This includes campaign signs and posters, signature gathering of petitions, exit polling and loud speakers ORS 260.695(2).
