Other places to consider donating to:
Please call ahead of time– some places may have special procedures for taking items in.
Local schools: school supplies, paper, books, tissues, hand sanitizer, personal hygiene items, non-perishable food, clothing, shoes, etc. Contact the main office at the school to determine how to bring items in or if they have a student needs supply closet.
Local preschools: reading books, blankets, age appropriate toys– indoor or outdoor, crafting supplies, diapers, clothing. Please call prior to donating any items.
Museums/Historical Societies: Older farming equipment, antique household items or pictures/albums/bibles may be of interest to these organizations. Please call to see if an item is desired. There are museums located in Sheridan, Willamina, McMinnville, and Newberg.
Animal Rescue/Shelters: toys, bedding, towels, blankets, food, bowls, cleaning materials.
Retirement/Nursing/Rehab Homes: puzzles, board games, magazines, books, movies, fleece blankets. Contact their front desk or Activities Director to see what items are most needed.
Places of Religion: medical equipment to lend to their attendees, clothing/food for outreach programs.
VFWs/Legion Halls/ Veteran Associations: medical equipment, puzzles/games, books. Contact your local chapter to find out their needs.
