The Yamhill County Board of Commissioners approved a wildlife control program that provides financial assistance to homeowners confronting the prevention and control of wildlife damage by large mammals such as coyotes and cougars. This is not intended for small rodent/pest control.
Homeowners in Yamhill County may request 50% reimbursement, or up to $250, toward services required by a certified wildlife control operator. Cost‐sharing will only be available in cases where unprotected mammals pose a safety issue. To see a list of unprotected mammals or to find an ODFW permitted wildlife control operator, select the following link: https://www.dfw.state.or.us/wildlife/license_permits_apps/wildlife_control_operator_contacts.asp.
Please read the ODFW’s website regarding the State’s management of and living with predatory animals such as coyote and cougars.
